{"id":18,"date":"2009-03-03T16:08:55","date_gmt":"2009-03-03T21:08:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/catsusch.com\/blog1\/?p=18"},"modified":"2009-03-05T14:15:34","modified_gmt":"2009-03-05T19:15:34","slug":"leading-multiple-lives-multiple-persona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/catsusch.com\/blog1\/2009\/03\/03\/leading-multiple-lives-multiple-persona\/","title":{"rendered":"Leading Multiple Lives &#8211; Multiple Persona"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Starting this <a title=\"CAT Susch's Blog\" href=\"http:\/\/catsusch.com\" target=\"_self\">new blog<\/a> and <a title=\"Twitter CATSusch\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/CATSusch\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a>, I&#8217;ve been struggling all day to figure out how to clearly distinguish my persona of Technology and New Media versus The Avid Knitter (<a href=\"http:\/\/letsknit2gether.com\" target=\"_blank\">LetsKnit2gether<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>I believe that the audiences for each of these are going to be different in most cases.\u00a0 For example, I doubt that new media folks are going to care that I just finished knitting a sweater for my nieces.\u00a0 On the other hand, the knitters don&#8217;t really care that I&#8217;ve just discovered the latest tools for setting up Business Intelligence and Analytics Data Wharehouses.<\/p>\n<p>Both fields interest me greatly, one my occupation and the other my avocation.\u00a0\u00a0 So how does one keep them separate?<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with <a title=\"CATs Facebook Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/home.php?#\/profile.php?id=779329666&amp;ref=profile\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook<\/a>.\u00a0 Seems like there&#8217;s no chance of separating here.\u00a0 You must use your name to create a login.\u00a0 You can not segment your friends or the status\/content you post to target only certain friends.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/CATSusch\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter <\/a>is better, but annoying.
